Now that Amazon has acquired the rights to James Bond, there's even more chatter about who will step into the role. And it looks like the odds are in former White Lotus star Theo James' favor. Literally.

The Sun reports that there's been an "influx of bets" on Theo playing Bond, and his odds are currently 2-1 according to bookies Coral. Unclear what's driving this flurry of Theo James bets, but James Norton is currently in second-running with odds of 3-1, and Aaron Taylor Johnson has odds of 7-2.

Theo has been fielding Bond rumors for a while, and tried to side-step the conversation back in 2024.

"Everyone’s interested in that because it’s a big part of British cultural identity, but that probably wouldn’t be me," he told The Guardian. "I do think there are better people for that job. And, honestly, it would be terrifying: if you do that, there’s no going back. You’re opening Pandora’s box there. You have got to be willing to live a very different life and have a different life for your family. And that would be pretty tricky. Plus, my mates would take the piss out of me. Because they always say, ‘Bondopoulos – the Greek Bond.’”

He added, “It’s flattering, but it’s also every male actor within a certain age. It’s not like it’s two dudes. It’s 50 guys, literally 50 people. So no…"
